Hidden Gems in Cheltenham and the Cotswolds

Although many of our properties are located in Cheltenham, we are also fortunate enough to have a wealth of quaint villages, hamlets and towns in the Cotswolds right on our doorstep.

Cleeve Hill
Cleeve Hill is the highest point in the Cotswolds and the county of Gloucestershire, meaning it has stunning views across the region including the racecourse, the River Severn and into neighbouring Wales. The properties for sale in Cleeve Hill benefit from impressive views and access to gorgeous walks. Perfect for ramblers and nature lovers!

Cowley
The village of Cowley is very popular with walkers and visitors to the Cotswolds due to its proximity to nature and the great outdoors. Cowley is located in beautiful rolling countryside which has been designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. The village is also home to the internationally renowned Cowley Manor.

Woodmancote
Woodmancote is a popular village in the Cotswolds and we have been very lucky to have a number of properties for sale there in recent years. Many of the gorgeous properties in Woodmancote have been constructed with Cotswold stone typical of the area and numerous properties have retained many character features. Woodmancote is often a popular choice to live in as it is a rural village at the foot of the Cotswold escarpment but has a great local community including village pubs, shops and an excellent primary school.

Painswick
Nestling in the Cotswold hills and surrounded by some of Gloucestershire’s most impressive countryside is the historic wool town of Painswick. Originally the town grew on the wool trade but recently it has become known for the parish church’s yew trees and the local Rococo Garden. The town’s buildings and houses are mainly constructed of locally quarried Cotswold stone and many of the properties feature south-facing attic rooms that were once used as weavers’ workshops.

Prestbury
Prestbury is a very old parish renowned for its variety of pretty stone houses and cottages based around the church of St. Mary’s. Found at the foot of the Cotswolds, this vibrant community enjoys a wide selection of amenities. Over recent years we have had many houses for sale in Prestbury including many charming cottages that are listed Grade II and retain a wealth of character and period features.
